FST Logistics Job Description Summary : We are looking for a skilled Application Support Specialist to provide fast and effective support to our Transportation end-users.
As an Application Support Specialist, you will be required to respond to support requests in person and over the phone, assess and diagnose software issues, implement enhancements and upgrades, install transportation software, consult the transportation business, implement projects as both a team member and / or leader.
You may also be required to provide basic software training, as well as miscellaneous transportation related support. To ensure success as an Application Support Specialist, you should have advanced knowledge of WMS software, excellent logical, diagnostic, and organizational skills, as well as high-level communication and project management skills.
Ultimately, a skilled Application Support Specialist provides fast and effective support over the phone and in person. Time spent for assigned duties and responsibilities are estimated as follows : Working with Internal End-Users 80% Working with Outside Vendors / Contractors 15% Working with External Customers 5% Qualifications and Skillsets : · Live FST Traits of Reliable, Invested, Responsive, Adaptable, Passionate and Innovative · Minimum of 3 years of experience in an end-user technical support role, 2-year technical degree, advanced knowledge of WMS modules, or a combination · Strong customer service skills, professionalism, and friendly desk-side manner are a must · Experience writing and understanding DB2 and / or SQL code is preferred · Ability to manage incoming transportation related tickets - evaluate, assign priority, and resolve, with assistance from vendor if necessary · Review open tickets and provide updates to end-users as needed · Experience with Crystal reports is a plus · Experience with PeopleNet is a plus · Understanding of upgrading and patching of enterprise software systems (including maintaining a test environment) preferred · Experience with mobile device management solutions are a plus (MobileIron, SOTI) · Ability to write end-user guides, SOPs, and comfortable training users to use a variety of systems · Prior experience working in or consulting in the distribution, logistics or transportation industry · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Strong time management skills · Ability to rapidly learn new software applications and functionality · Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite, including Microsoft Outlook, Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint · Proven experience in working remote and interacting with team members through web conferencing Disclaimer This job description does not include every duty or responsibility that the employee may be asked to perform at some point in time.
