JOB TITLE : Lead Central Service Technician
REPORTS TO : Director, Surgical Services
POSITION SUMMARY : Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following established infection control practices.
Directs and checks work of others to ensure established procedures and standards of practice are followed. Maintains a consistent high standard of sterile supplies, assures that the department will meet or exceed the regulatory requirements and be maintained in a cost-effective manner.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing. Basic computer skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : BLS, CRCST required.
