Job Description Summary
Calls on individual stores or customer accounts within assigned geography or by nature of customer to develop relationships and achieve maximum product sales. Introduces new items, quotes prices, credit terms and delivery dates and prepares sales contracts and sales reports. May insure proper inventory, merchandising, set-ups and displays and manage trade funding. May call on prospects to enhance business development. Product range, customer complexity and challenge may be somewhat limited.

Position Responsibilities
- Introduces new items, quotes prices, credit terms, delivery dates and prepares sales contracts and sales reports.
- Responsible for representing, merchandising and selling desired mix of products in retail stores within identified accounts.
- Accountable for preparing sales presentations, contracts and proposals for specific merchandising and store shelving activities.
- Manage trade sending for identified accounts for in-store merchandising, advertising and implement category management initiatives.
- Responsible for delivering assigned sale and margin targets.
- Communicate all customer and brand pricing notifications.
- Execute assortment, pricing and promotion plan to deliver agreed upon objectives.
- Ensures all new product authorizations and core extensions are positioned on retail shelf with appropriate timing, space, facings and targeted location.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Prepare information / project tracking reports in a timely manner as required by Company.
- Communicates regularly and effectively to inform supervisor of marketplace activities, issues, and opportunities.
- Customer accountability may range from partial accountability for one or two large accounts to full accountability for multiple small accounts
- Works with direct guidance from manager as it relates to business planning and customer strategy
- Executes business strategies and tactics as directed. May have a role in developing strategy
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
BA / BS degree in Business, Marketing or related field.3 years related experience. CPG preferred.Sales planning and sales execution experience required.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and applications. (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Must have strong negotiation skills.Must be capable of effectively interpreting and using multiple information sources to develop customer-specific tactical plans and options.Effective communication skills - both written and verbal.Demonstrates initiative and perseverance.Evidence of good judgment and problem-solving skills.
