KBR is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The candidate will leverage their extensive systems and software engineering experience to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to a US Government customer, supporting FFRDC, and other KBR members in a professional work environment.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award
Responsibilities :
Perform all activities associated with the design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control of software for scientific / engineering applicationsDefine system and software requirements and obtain customer approvalAnalyze customer requirements and translate them into a designImplement Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket / Git to manage work and collaborate with your teams.Work to improve performance metrics through critical planning and execution of development tasks.Determine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirements on department standardsGenerate / update documents defining software product baselinesSupport on-site meetings and deliveries to customersLead junior engineersPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications :
Active TS / / SCI with PolygraphBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related disciplineMinimum of 8 years of software development, object-oriented design, and programming, including architecture design, coding, and testing experienceExperience with Web Services and JavaScript (e.g., ReactJS)Container based application development experienceMust possess a DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higherStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve customer and company goalsDevOps Engineer (with >5 years of experience in configuration control, testing, security, automation, containerization, orchestration, and cloud services open-source technologies)
Hands-on experience with Java, C / C++, and / or PythonDesired Qualifications :
Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplineExperience with Postgres and MySQL, MongoDBExperience with AWS and AzureExperience with Docker, KubernetesExperience with Fortify, CodeDx, TrellixFamiliarity with Agile and / or DevSecOps proceduresContractor Product Owner (with >10 years of experience in software management and managing a backlog of requirements)
Experience with Neural Networks / Machine LearningSecurity Requirements : Must have an active TS-SCI with a current Polygraph
