job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPrepare energizing Zumba / dance routines incorporating simple, repetitive Latin-inspired dance Lead classes using cues, visual demonstration, and individual guidance to keep students engaged Adapt choreography and pace to suit ability levels of students Monitor students and provide modifications to exercises to account for physical limitations or Promote a fun, celebratory atmosphere with upbeat music and positive reinforcement Collaborate with therapists and staff to track progress and set fitness goals for each student Maintain safe conditions and utilize assistant to help minimize injury risks Communicate with caregivers to share updates on participation and progress Stay up to date on new Zumba / dance techniques, music, and instructor training workshops All other duties as assigned or requested. A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching dance, fitness, or movement 1 year or more of previous experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, or similar Group fitness certification, Zumba / dance license, or equivalent training strongly preferred Ability to choreograph fun, simple routines combining dance and aerobic exercise Good verbal communication and cueing skills Reliable and passionate about bringing joy of movement to students Organizational skills to plan and coordinate programs and activities. Flexibility to adjust teaching strategies based on individual progress and abilities. Must be at least 18 years of age. Appropriate level of fitness and flexibility to run and instruct classes Ability to actively demonstrate moves for up to an hour at a time Capable of moving freely to observe students and provide hands-on guidance The ability to effectively communicate (orally and written) and interact with others, including The ability to read, concentrate and learn. Position Summary : The Zumba / Dance Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing engaging and fun Zumba / dance fitness classes. The teacher will utilize Zumba's dance-inspired cardio workouts to help improve individuals' physical health, coordination, social skills, and confidence in an encouraging.
