Position Description :

Develops Cloud-based databases and applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Performs database administration and development using Oracle.

Builds and deploys applications in a DevOps environment using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) pipelines utilizing Jenkins and GitHub.

Develops and automates software applications using Python, and KSH / Bash Shell Scripts. Designs and implements complex databases and business critical designs.

Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for / in multiple platforms.
• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer / Developer (or closely related occupation) building, testing, troubleshooting, and releasing product features within an Agile environment for database automation and self-service platforms.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer / Developer (or closely related occupation) building, testing, troubleshooting, and releasing product features within an Agile environment for database automation and self-service platforms.

Skills and Knowledge :

Candidate must also possess :

Demonstrated Expertise ( DE ) deploying and automating enterprise applications to virtual servers in Cloud Amazon Web Services using AWS CLI and CI / CD tools (Jenkins);

using Code Repositories (Git and GitHub) for version control and task management; and monitoring applications and creating incidents to keep track of errors using Datadog and ServiceNow.

• DE developing, debugging, and fine-tuning queries and procedures for SQL and PL / SQL languages using SQL Plus and Oracle SQL Developer in RDBMS platforms Oracle.
• DE performing operating system commands using Windows Server and Linux / Unix; and writing, debugging logs, and executing Shell Scripts to automate tasks using PuTTY, RemoteDesktop, Jupyter Notebook and Visual Studio Code.
• DE building, testing, and performing data analysis for automating database applications by analyzing data within different file formats (CSV or JSON) using Python, KSH / Bash, and ShellScripts.

Salary : $123,625.00 $127,500.00 / year.
