About the team and what we'll build together

Kobie Marketing is currently seeking a Data Architect to join their team. The role requires the candidate to design, implement, and maintain the data architecture for Kobie Alchemy Loyalty Cloud (KALC).

The ideal candidate should have experience developing database design, data models, data pipelining, and streaming.

How you will make an impact

  • Developing and maintaining data architecture for KALC
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications for different systems (relational, non-relational, cache technologies)
  • Writing technical specifications for data validation rules and transformations
  • Assessing current data governance processes and providing feedback for improvement
  • Engaging with the technical leadership team to discuss data strategies, data architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure.
  • Having a solid understanding of data management in the cloud (AWS, OCI, or Azure)

What you need to be successful

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or any related field
  • 5-10 years of implementation experience in database management, data modeling, and data integration
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a cloud-focused data architect
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence topics
  • Expertise in data technologies (Spark, Kafka, RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoop)
  • Expertise in non-relational data platforms (Mongo, Dynamo DB, Cassandra)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Implemented data flow management (e.g. Kafka and Nifi)
