From young professionals to a growing family, the area has plenty of activities for every individual. Postion Summary : The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the in-patient Adult Acute units.
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the staffing, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients during each designated shift.
Also, responsible for the operational and programmatic management of the designated shift; and assist in the professional growth and development of nursing staff, and directly supervises employees in their respective units, carries out supervisory responsibilities.
This position is responsible for planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems when needed. The Nursing Supervisor will oversee all unit activities including, but not limited to, admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, restraint and / or seclusion, Baker Acts, relieving for break or meals.
The Nursing Supervisor will coordinate all medical codes, whether real or mock, and ensure they are carried out appropriately and safely.
The Nursing Supervisor will support the Admissions Department with patients and review of admission packets reviewing medical complications.
