As a Senior Project Manager, specializing in healthcare and higher education construction projects, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, implementation, and execution of various construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include managing resources, timelines, budgets, and communication channels to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.

My client is a reputable General Contractor providing design build and construction management services. They are listed as a top 25 General Contractor according to the Philadelphia Business Journal (2023).

With an annual revenue upwards of $150M, they are one of the most respected and reputable contractors in the Philadelphia market.

Market sectors include, healthcare, higher education, corporate office space, life sciences, and industrial.

Description

  • Project Planning and Coordination :
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Budget and Cost Management :
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
  • Monitor project costs, including materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses, to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Schedule Management :
  • Create and maintain project schedules to track progress and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Anticipate potential delays or obstacles and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety :
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure work meets industry standards and client specifications.
  • Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Client Communication :
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any issues that may arise.
  • Team Leadership :
  • Lead and motivate project teams, including subcontractors and vendors, to achieve project goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to high performance and growth.
  • Risk Management :
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Implement contingency plans as needed to address unforeseen circumstances.

Profile

  • A minimum of 10 years experience full-time as a Project Manager for vertical construction projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in healthcare and / or higher education sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
