47152 Lab 1 CCLaboratory -Phlebotomy Position Summary : Performs routine technical and clerical functions to include specimen registration and billing.

Performs venipuncture, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens. Performs phlebotomy duties as assigned.

Will perform waived testing and assist in Microbiology processing and plating specimens, as requested. Position Qualification : (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities) : One (1) year of laboratory experience and / or completion of a formal phlebotomy training Basic laboratory computer / lab information system experience preferred Required Licenses / Certifications : High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of Phlebotomy training program and / or national phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT or similar preferred Phlebotomy Certification where State law requires Communication Skills : Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organizationAbout Steward Health CareNearly a decade ago, Steward Health Care System emerged as a different kind of health care company designed to usher in a new era of wellness.
