- This shift is 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday 7 : 30am - 3 : 30pm)
- The pay rate range for this position is $18.00 - $18.69 per hour depending on years of prior experience with NYS OPWDD programs
- Autism experience a must .
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder is a plus
- Good communication, writing and computer skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to work independently
- Good organizational skills
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
- Provide ongoing protective oversight to individuals as per ISP safeguards.
- Implement Day Habilitation Plan for each person.
- Complete monthly summary reports accurately and timely for people supported
- Enter information accurately and contemporaneously on each person’s daily billing sheets and / or electronic system, to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Implement behavioral support plans as written and ensure associated data collection.
- Attend all required in-service training (i.e., CPR, SCIP and Defensive Driving) and staff meetings.
- Adhere to all regulations and agency policies and procedures (i.e., incident reporting)
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationships at volunteer sites, with family members and with Circles of Support.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment. Proper use and maintenance of equipment and appliances.
- Drive agency vehicles and demonstrate safe driving practices.
- Travel train program participants via public transportation.
