Job Summary
We are seeking a Transportation Manager to join the team! As our Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, dispatching , working around drivers’ schedules, and considering road conditions and weather.
Your goal will be to maximize efficiency through dispatching and utilize all assets effectively while providing a positive work environment.
The ideal candidate has knowledge of DOT laws and regulations, previous management or dispatching experience, and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Handle all scheduling and coordinating for the transportation department
- Handle dispatch issues as they arise, including working around last-minute changes, weather challenges, and more
- Analyze routes, and maximize efficiency
- Create a positive, healthy work environment for both office staff and transportation staff
Qualifications
- Previous management or dispatch experience strongly desired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
