Job Overview
The Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring company inventory records are accurate and up to date. They must count, examine and analyze inventory levels and make sure that they match the records in the company's database.
The inventory manager / auditor is also responsible for detecting any discrepancies or errors in inventory records and reporting them to management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inventories of store locations and accurately count inventory.
- Examine and analyze inventory to ensure they match the records in the company database.
- Detect discrepancies or errors in inventory records and report them to management.
- Identify slow-moving and take necessary action to address it.
- Collaborate with team members to share inventory audit findings and proposed solutions.
- Create reports on inventory levels and communicate findings to management.
- Conduct daily audits to ensure ongoing accuracy and fulfillment of inventory management standards.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience working with inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work outside of regular business hours.
Work Environment
The inventory auditor works in both office and outside environments, depending on the needs of the company. They will be required to stand / walk for extended periods of time.
Salary
The salary range is $60,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
