Position Summary : The Tower Team of Mercury Broadband builds and services all of Mercurys tower sites. Tower technicians should be mindful and thorough in their work;

following installation and safety guidelines, and instructions from the Tower Foreman.

Location : Ann Arbor, MI

Position Type : Full-Time

Compensation : $20-23 / hr, Plus $500 sign on bonus

Key Responsibilities :

• Ability to use provided safety gear while working at heights up to 300ft.
• Installation of broadband equipment at Mercury tower premises
• Represent the company in a professional manner
• Assist with new tower site construction
• Troubleshoot broadband tower equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages
• Basic mechanical skills
• Installation and tuning of Microwave Dishes and Radios
• Ability to be ON Call and troubleshoot Network Outages as needed in your market.

Skills and Requirements :

• Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, towers (up to 300), and elevated locations
• Basic mechanical skills
• Knowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power tools
• Follow cabling procedures for wiring towers
• Clean driving record and valid drivers license
• Self-Motivated
• 2+ years Tower hand experience (preferred)
• First Aid / CPR / AED certified (preferred)
• Authorized Climber and Rescue trained (preferred)

Physical Requirements :

Ability to climb with up to a 30 lb. load and work at elevated heights up to 500', with most of the work performed at 300' or less;

must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly

• Ability to stand continuously, reach frequently, & bend at waist and knees frequently
• Requires working outdoors in all types of weather
• Ability to stoop, crawl, squat and lift 50 lbs.; and be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead occasionally
• Requires good finger and hand dexterity to utilize various hand tools in a repetitive manner

Education Requirements :

High School Diploma or equivalent

Compensation details : 20-23 Hourly Wage
