Job Title : Product Development Coordinator Jewelry

Primary Purpose : The product development coordinator supports the development process, encompassing sample management activities, achieving design aesthetic, quality standards, margin goals and timelines.

Location : New York, New York

Hybrid role, in office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Product development :

  • Support the team in the entire product development process from initial design through prototype development to production
  • Manage product specification files and 3D files between Design, factories and PD and ensure product comments are being passed in a timely manner and review any roadblock with manager and design.
  • Execute. Maintain and update the Product Development master file, costing file and raw material charts are updated in a timely manner and ensure cross functional partners are updated.
  • Responsible for executing and updating product cost sheets and final cost approval in system
  • Execute and manage market materials pertaining to products and ensure accuracy of information.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Merchandising, Marketing and Design team to manage sample status updates and packaging details for new product launches
  • Manage day-to-day communication and activities with team in Asia and Factories
  • Support approval process and resolution of pending items to ensure smooth process from development to commercialization.
  • Serve as the point of contact with internal teams and external vendors throughout the product lifecycle process
  • Demonstrate understanding of development process, implications, when deadlines are missed and alert manager of potential issues
  • Maintain product integrity, quality execution, and consistency of details.
  • Manage final comments post market and manage final product is commercially approved.
  • Manage production process partnering with operations team and merch to and manage accuracy of information flow between KS and suppliers in a timely manner
  • Manage production product approval file and ensure all products are approved by KS.

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • 1- 3+ years of experience in production / product development
  • Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes and materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, EcVision or other PLM systems
  • Experience in excel with demonstrated ability in formulas and pivot tables
