Join our team at Brockton Hospital and be better and stronger than ever. Registered Nurse (RN) Roles and Responsibilities : + Assessment : collects relevant patient health data (age-specific pertinent to specialty area).

• Diagnosis : analyzes the assessment data in determining nursing diagnoses. + Outcome identification : identifies individualized, expected outcomes for patient.
• Planning / Implementation : develops and implements Plan of Care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Evaluation : evaluates and documents the patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes in the patient medical record.
• Provide nursing care to assigned patients. + Administers prescribed medication and intravenous solutions in a safe manner.
• Reports significant alterations in patient's condition to physician. + Counsels, educate, and includes patients and their families in accordance with the overall plan of care.
• Assists patient and family in coping with stress accompanying illness; offering solace and support to the dying. + Quality of Care : systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Individual Practice Evaluation : reflects knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, regulations, and changes in health care delivery, in daily practice.

May be a beginning practitioner. + Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse. Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion.

Minimum of two years Medical / Surgical experience. Critical Care experience preferred. Must have current ICU / CCU experience.

Preferred + Software / Hardware : Meditech experience preferred. + One year critical care experience preferred. + One year ventilator experience preferred.
