M-Th 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM (or three days 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM)
Rate :
$18-20 / hr based on experience
Job Description :
Maintenance Tech to maintain / improve / upgrade automated and motion-controlled packaging and process equipment.
Working in a clean and fully acclimatized environment, you will make sure our batch type electro-mechanical and PLC-controlled machinery, such as stick pack, pouch, blister, bottling lines and similar, are operating safely, efficiently, and are maintained properly.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Making sure electro-mechanical and PLC-related issues do not delay scheduled on-time deliveries
- Responsible for process and packaging equipment maintenance (trouble-shooting, rebuilding, retrofitting and upkeep of process machines and packaging equipment, commonly operated in solid dose production and of food production environment)
- Responsible for all reactive and pro-active maintenance of our process and packaging equipment
- Support operational effectiveness, down-time reduction, and timely implementation of improvement plans / projects
- Has strong mechanical and electrical experience, including equipment change control skills; root cause analysis; PLC and servo controls
- Work alone and or side-by-side with our 3-person maintenance team
- Troubleshoot and evaluate problematic mechanical, electronic and automated systems, determining what type service, repair and / or other services need to be performed to avoid downtime, improve efficiency and productivity and overall utilization of our equipment
- Solve routine daily equipment problems to avoid production stops
- Ensure compliance to all safety and cGMP / SOP protocols in order to maintain product quality
- Ensure compliance to appropriate maintenance and repair methods / techniques
- Prepare purchases for parts and similar purchases
Requirements and Qualifications :
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System preferred
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff in our organization
- Position requires good social, verbal, communication, written and computer skills
Physical Demands :
- Physical demands of position require you to walk, stand, bend and lift up to 8 hours each day
- Possess excellent vision
- Have excellent dexterity, needed in order to perform electro-mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and repair
