Scope :
The Director of Operations will be responsible for the entire day-to-day operation of the company’s business and projects.
The candidate will have a background in full design build engineering, project management, fuel installation, plumbing, and general construction engineering.
The company is a fully turn-key design / build company focused in Florida. The company seeks to provide operational oversite of day-to-day multi-disciplinary departments and objectives.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive insights to drive business expansion, present and long term.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to establish long-term goals and Key Performance Indicators.
- Translates the company’s strategies into actionable business plans.
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure that client needs are being met in accordance with company policies, procedures, and mission.
- Implement best practices for building and engineering design, construction, and fuel installation.
- Drive continuous improvements to safety, quality, cost, and service while growing and expanding capabilities in the operations.
- Build and develop a high performing team of industry professionals, while expanding upon the company’s current client base.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to other executives and direct reports to ensure adherence to the company’s mission and process-oriented approach.
- Oversee safety programs to enhance workplace efficiency while improving safety for employees.
- Oversee company marketing, client services, and seamlessly transition between design phases and build phases while providing continued service to client accounts.
- Collaborate with President to provide continuous improvement and execute on the company’s mission.
- Drive growth through exceeding customer expectations and delivering finished projects on time and on budget.
- Oversee company strategy and assess risk through thorough business acumen and analytical data.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards in compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal authorities.
- Provide leadership through all project phases from predevelopment, engineering / design, permitting and regulatory approval, to completion of construction.
- Insurance, budget, taxes, and legal oversight is a plus.
Qualifications :
- B.S. in Engineering or related field. Graduate level education preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a design build company.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated success in team building.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical, operational, and specialized challenges.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technologies to be utilized during all phases of project management.
