About the role

Under general supervision, you will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to set-up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes.

Your responsibilities

• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Performs emergency / unscheduled repairs on machines, equipment and plant facilities during production.
• Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Troubleshooting of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical (up to 480 volt), PLC (Allen Bradley), and robotic systems (Fanuc).
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required repairs, maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments on machines and equipment.
• Completes hot work permits.
• Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Company's safety policies and procedures.

Who we are looking for

• Three (3) years of maintenance experience as a Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive JIT.
• Trade school certified as an industrial Electrician / Millwright or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

journey worker certification preferred.

• Experience operating a powdered industrial forklift and performing aerial work.
• Fabrication experience, including blueprint reading / interpretation, machining (lathe, Bridgeport, and bandsaw), and welding.
• Ability to interpret & apply measurements in both the Imperial and Metric systems; ability to use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and measuring tape.
• Ability to read / understand ladder logic PLC systems.
• Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and shop tools.
• Basic computer skills, including e-mail management and task management software.
