About the job :
Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily.
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise.
You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
In this role, you will onboard new Google partner teams to live testing strategy by creating a pitch deck, originate ideas and strategy on Privacy Sandbox integration, and meet with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other senior stakeholders in prospective products.
The Privacy Sandbox initiative aims to create technologies that both protect people's privacy online and give companies and developers tools to build thriving digital businesses.
Our team is dedicated to strengthening the Web and Android platform against tracking and fingerprinting, while also developing new privacy-preserving APIs to support personalization and measurement on the web.
We are committed to collaborating with stakeholders in the industry to develop and implement viable, alternative solutions in a way that protects the privacy of users while also ensuring the continued vitality of the web.
Responsibilities :
- Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
- Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs.
- Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
- Support Privacy Sandbox on Android product quality programs with technical, program management, leadership, and cross-functional coordination to align testing activities across multiple Android teams.
- Coordinate across multiple testing teams and cross-functional development teams to align release timelines, test schedule, milestones, and set clear expectations about responsibilities to internal and external stakeholders.
