Data Analyst
Hybrid at Pittsburg, PA
6+ months contract

Must Have :
We are looking for a Data Analyst who has experience with strong finance experience. AML OR Swift (financial, not IOS), and business analysis, but is very technical and can write / create SQL code and know how to get data when data is requested.
What are the top 3 MUST HAVE technologies or Required experience for the position?
- 3+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Strong SQL knowledge + experience - working with complex select queries, pulling data from multiple sources, working with different joins (outer, inner) - understanding views.
- Financial industry knowledge- payments industry. Most of the compliance AML / sanctions-more than 60% of the time is some type of a transactions- security, payments, etc.
- Understand what data is being sourced by which applications; understanding where is the data coming from, how can we pull data and what kind of data do we need to pull in
- Can work independently, strong communication
Required Skills :
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience in FinTech, specifically working with Payments (Swift - MT, MX messages, ACH - NACHA formats), Securities messages
o Nice to have : Experience / Exposure to Financial Crimes Compliance - such as AML, Alert Investigations, Knowledge with Actimize or any other AML products
- JIRA
- Confluence
- Strong SQL skills
- Data Analysis skills
- Agile Experience (Epics, Stories, Working in Scrum / Sprint),
- Python (nice to have)
Data / Business Analyst
- Work with the business stakeholders to determine both functional and data requirements
- Collect business data from multiple sources
- Write simple to complex queries or data transformation scripts using SQL and Python
- Use large data sets to define KPIs and generate reports
- Help maintain data frameworks
- Assist with process improvement
