Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the 2023-24 school year at a school near Del Valle, Texas.
The caseload will mostly be elementary students, with some secondary students.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' motor, sensory, and developmental needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory integration, visual motor skills, and activities of daily living
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a team-based approach to student care
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Evaluate and modify student's treatment plans based on ongoing progress and response to intervention
- Document student progress and maintain accurate and thorough records
- Provide consultation and support to teachers and other school personnel to promote inclusion and access to curriculum for all students
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Texas state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents with a variety of disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and best practices in school-based occupational therapy
