Job Summary

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR) plays a vital role in delivering patient-centered care through safe, efficient, and high-quality specimen collection. This position represents the organizations commitment to healthcare excellence, patient trust, and operational accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for patients across age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Verify patient demographics and ensure all specimen labels are accurate and signed in the patients presence.

Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with company and safety policies.

Follow established clinical and forensic collection procedures.

Ensure laboratory specimens are prepared correctly for testing and transported safely.

Maintain a professional and clean work environment while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

Demonstrate adaptability by covering multiple collection sites as needed.

Required Experience

Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center or clinical laboratory environment preferred.

Customer service or retail experience beneficial.

Required Skills

Excellent phlebotomy and specimen handling skills.

Accuracy and attention to detail in a high-volume setting.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license (if applicable).

Preferred Skills

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.

Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in TX).
