Platform and Delivery Manager Integrated

Location : Wauwatosa, WI, US, 53222 Position Description

Manages multiple IT Platforms by providing solution architecture and delivery activities for Enterprise Applications and Platforms.

Develops and implements annual plans, programs, and objectives for the team to ensure consistency in how we deliver and to ensure teams deliver the inscope capabilities for consolidated delivery releases.

Links the business strategy and initiatives to the IT strategy documenting how the current and future needs of an organization will be supported by the integrated platforms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively makes recommendations to appropriate business units regarding the alignment and integration of new services, projects and enhancements that further support and strengthen the platform and enterprise application capabilities to support the business
  • Develops and optimizes operational processes for assigned accountabilities and platforms to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Examples include : platform management, design patterns, coding standards, estimating templates, etc.

Coordinates and manages release planning activities across Platform and Delivery Managers and Business Solutions Managers this includes understanding the release priorities;

providing high-level solution designs and associated estimates; participating in release scoping activities and securing the staffing necessary to delivery the release

Develops and manages ongoing relationships with third party vendors who provide platform build and implementation services.

Including communicating annual investment expectations; developing contracts to delivery inscope capabilities; and managing vendor performance

  • Leads decision making process on quality, compliance and fiscal matters as related to the groups operating budget and third party vendor fees
  • Facilitates cross platform solution designs and issue resolution
  • Manages activities required to support the team, coordinating across project boundaries as appropriate
  • Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to : interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees;

selecting and managing service providers; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO / AA, performance management, department budget.

Mentoring and training staff to continually improve services

Job Skills Requirements

  • Strong end user orientation, initiative and ability to work within and matrix to define and deliver consistent results and continuous improvement
  • Strong ability to plan, manage and evolve platform delivery, including demonstrated experience of capacity planning, staffing and budgeting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting technical design, technical solutions and enterprise architecture solutions to clients / customers and service providers / vendors
  • Strong experience in planning and execution of software development project including prior experience in internationally distributed, matrix / network environment with extensive knowledge and practical experience working with service providers
  • Proven ability to design and implement enterprise level technology solutions .
  • Strong understanding of development and QA processes; and software architecture methodologies.
  • Proficient knowledge and awareness of the platforms within area of responsibility including present and future of technology and service market, competitive products, product providers / partners and future strategy
  • Strong aptitude and awareness of new and emerging technologies, products and services within the specific platform(s)
  • Experience with contract and vendor management
  • Experience working with and managing a globally dispersed team of partners
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and / or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent education and experience Experience Requirements

  • Minimum ten years of experience designing and implementing Enterprise level technology solutions or infrastructure solutions
  • Minimum seven years experience in a development lead role in enterprise business applications such as Oracle EBS, SAP, CRM, BI or leading enterprise service delivery of IT capabilities enabled by Infrastructure solutions
  • Minimum five years management experience, preferred
