About The Position
Job Title : Radiographer II Job Specialty : General Radiography Job Duration : 14 weeks Shift : Days, 5x8 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Preferred : One (1) year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required by the hiring department.
License : Registered with ARRT Certifications : - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association- Credentials in the cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty (ARDMS, ARRT, and / or CCI) Must-Have : - ARRT Registered- Proficiency in Radiography, Mammography, and Radiographic Imaging Job Description : Perform advanced-level professional work in exposing and processing radiographic images and conducting fluoroscopy examinations.
- Circulate to other diagnostic radiology areas (e.g., surgery, trauma, pediatrics) as needed.- Operate standard and portable radiology equipment to conduct radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies, which include intravenous pyelography, cystography, gastrointestinal series, and body section radiography.
- Assist physicians in performing specialized imaging procedures.- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and film output issues.
- Serve as a resource and preceptor for other Radiographers and / or students.- Participate in training programs to enhance skills in specialized areas of radiology such as Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Special Procedures.
- Maintain records, inventory, and equipment in the primary area of responsibility.- Other duties as assigned. Skills : Knowledge in the techniques of diagnostic radiography.
- Understanding of the operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment.- Ability to prioritize assignments and assess, treat, and care for patients of varying ages.
- Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to patients and their families.
