    • Brooksource is currently seeking a Mainframe Developer to support a large and exciting initiative for a Fortune 10 healthcare client. As a Mainframe Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications within a fast-paced Agile environment. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, offshore teams, and cross-functional partners to ensure seamless delivery and communication across all phases of development.

    • Required Skills & Experience
    • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe environments
    • Hands-on experience with
    • COBOL
    • JCL
    • ,and
    • CICS
    • in enterprise-grade environments
    • Strong understanding
    • DB2
    • for relational database management and SQL queries
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize batch and transactional processes
    • Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaboration tools like
    • Jira
    • Rally
    • , or
    • RTC
    • Familiarity with
    • Git
    • Bitbucket
    • , or hybrid version control systems
    • Experience with CI / CD tools such as
    • Jenkins
    • Ability to contribute to modernization efforts, including API integration and cloud migration
    • Comfortable participating in daily scrum calls and coordinating with business stakeholders
    • Skilled in managing offshore communication and providing clear status updates
    • Understanding of healthcare systems, workflows, or data structures
    • Ability to translate technical solutions into business impact within a healthcare context
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
