Group Air Travel Advisor – University Groups

This position is accountable for timely and accurate ticketing for groups, specializing in university groups but assisting in corporate meetings as needed.

This person will perform at a high level with extensive knowledge of complex bookings and exchanges, perform all ticketing duties, provide travel counsel, and maintain an exceptionally high level of service to all employees and our clients.

Responsibilities :

• Provide consultative travel expertise with excellent customer service and a good understanding of geography and travel destinations to provide informed advice Responsible for accurate ticketing and invoicing Meticulous attention to detail and ability to stay organized to manage complex group itineraries, research options, compare prices and provide clear and concise information Must be customer service focused with excellent problem solving skills Manage excel, Google docs and Smartsheet documents for tracking workflow Interpret and enforce various client travel policies Participate in trainings having a high level of industry knowledge Maintain a positive attitude with travelers and coworkers Ability to work on multiple programs simultaneously with minimal errors Familiarity and understanding of the transactional process from all perspectives including GDS and mid-office systems Comfortable thinking outside of the box Be available and responsive to our clients at all times during normal operating hours to handle any request, including emergency and complex situations Ability to stay organized and prioritize successfully Ability to work overtime on weekends for flight monitoring on occasion (preferred) Requirements : 3 years+ reservation experience as a Group Travel Advisor Specific experience in Sabre and group airline contracts   Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Comfortable communicating with clients and being on camera for meetings as needed Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Docs and Smartsheets Ability to stay organized and prioritize is essential Must be comfortable with and have experience with booking complex travel itineraries, split tickets, split forms of payment, exchanges and manual pricing when necessary Excellent attention to detail and grammar Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with limited oversight Comfortable with change and working in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking and calmness Self-motivated with a desire to positively influence others Adaptable to change and comfortable with new technologies Working hours preferred 9 am – 6 pm MST This is a remote / telecommute role Powered by JazzHR
