The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor / Operations Manager 1 performs organizational level maintenance on assigned Army fixed-wing aircraft (C-12 / UC-35) under contract to Amentum.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Monitors and maintains documents of all aircraft scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Plans and coordinates all aircraft inspections (special, conditional, phase, etc.).
- Dispatch and monitor all assigned tasks and associated jobs to work centers.
- Work closely with the Operations Department to ensure Aircraft are available to meet the Flight Schedule.
- Must be able to monitor the Amentum / MRO system to report all work performed.
- Know and understand Army Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
- Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports in support of aircraft long range maintenance requirements.
- Maintains aircraft historical records, as well as various other aircraft files in support of aircraft maintenance.
- Verification of all Maintenance Action Documentation prior to submission to the Army, work closely with Regional Manager (RM), Logistics and Amentum PMO to ensure timely submission of required data.
- Responsible for tracking, documenting Aircraft Maintenance, including scheduled, unscheduled, TBO's, SB, S.I. L's, A.D.'s etc.
- Assist in the documentation of aircraft flight time and maintenance discrepancies.
- Will instruct and assist in training of employees under site supervision in proper work methods, following the GOP, and performance of their job duties.
- Review AMRO for aircraft status, calibrations, training, assembly trees, logistics orders, etc.
- Develops and monitors compliance with the programs comprehensive Master Training Plan (MTP) database. Make sure the site personnel are aware of GOP procedures and make sure they are followed.
Ensure technical data is being used and available).
- Review Quality Management System (QMS) - QT9 and make sure the sites can navigate to QT9 and find documents in QT9.
- Make sure LGOP (Local General Operating Procedures) are performed and align with GOP procedures / local requirements.
- Review and submit NRT requests IAW the PWS.
- Ensures all required maintenance has been performed before flights.
- Comply with all current sections of the Army Regulation (AR) 95-20, FAA Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to aircraft maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned including all duties of lower rated technical personnel within their classification.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline is highly preferred; a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is Required.
- A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
- Must possess an extensive background in the field of (Army Fixed Wing Aviation) and / or C-12 / UC-35 aircraft maintenance,
- A minimum of Five (5) years' experience as an aircraft maintainer with a minimum of Two (2) years of supervisory experience is Required.
Supervisory experience must include responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for multiple shifts).
- Must have experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; must be able to write with clarity and technical accuracy.
Security Clearance Requirements :
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance is required; Note - US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Secret Clearance, and to obtain facility access.
Additional and Preferred Qualifications
- Maintains Aircraft Discrepancy Books showing completed as well as outstanding maintenance actions. Ensure the policies and procedures written in the programs (GOP) General Operating Procedures are followed by employee under his / her supervision.
- Ensures work area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner and that all safety rules and regulations are observed. May work with other groups or personnel to resolve problems.
- Make sure all maintenance employees have completed the AR-95-20 training, and complete associated tests before training record requirements are renewed.
Under the IAW the Master Training Plan.
- Work with HR for disciplinary actions and Manage Corrective Action Plans and FW AFR findings responses and actions and submit responses to Quality Assurance.
- When auditing, document CAR's in QT9. (You should be finding discrepancies while auditing).
- Keep the Government Technical Representative (GTR) briefed at all times on the Aircraft status.
- Keeps the COR briefed on all contract requirements.
- Make sure the sites have what they need to perform and be successful. Stay proactive to the site requirements and problems (not reactive).
- Recruiting : Have candidates interviewed within 3 days of Amentum recruiting department submittal.
