Shift : Full Time M-F, 7am to 4pm

Summary :

Connolly Brothers, Inc., celebrating 140 years in business, is seeking an experienced Project Manager responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Connolly Brothers is a construction management firm serving private commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. A five-generation family business established in 1880, Connolly is based in Beverly, Mass.

and operates throughout the New England region. For more than a century, clients have turned to Connolly to handle all aspects of their construction projects, from planning and design to real estate development.

Connolly has approximately 30 employees and manages $30MM to $50MM in projects annually. The real estate division owns and operates a mixture of single and multi tenant commercial buildings and is actively seeking new development opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Review project plans as to time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
  • Responsible for negotiating and purchasing all activities and materials
  • Initiate and manage subcontract and purchase order documentation in timely manner
  • Initiate and manage owner change requests and change orders
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project with subcontractors
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
  • Prepare project reports for management, client, or others
  • Provide technical advice and resolves problems for project staff
  • Coordinate project activities with activities of regulatory or other governmental agencies.
  • Maintain existing and create new customer and subcontractor relationships

Education and / or Experience :

Bachelor's Degree with minimum of eight years related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Language Skills :

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers and the employees.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with many variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
