Original X Productions is seeking an experienced and strategic legal professional to join our leadership team as the Senior Manager, Business and Legal Affairs, you will play a pivotal role in executing the strategic business initiatives of our organization.

You will be responsible for aspects of business development, negotiations, overseeing legal needs and ensuring the growth and sustainability of the company.

• This role is remote and can be located anywhere in the US.*
• Assist in the review, documentation and negotiation of key vendor, partner, real estate and IP agreements
• Support the SVP of business affairs, CFO and CEO on quantitative and qualitative deal analysis, including financial deal points, governance / approvals and risk mitigation
• Oversee internal legal processes / operations and manage third party law firms and paralegals to ensure efficient operations
• Structuring, negotiating, and drafting various agreements such as rights, production services, location, consultant, and vendor agreements
• Advising internal clients on deal structures, rights and clearances, licensing, copyright / trademark issues, marketing, advertising, and licensing matters.
• Negotiating license agreements and acquisition agreements.
• Interfacing and providing business advice on a day-to-day basis with various internal departments and colleagues across operations, finance, and marketing.
• Analyzing business and legal issues related to productions, as well as reviewing budgets and other financial information.
• Analyzing, reviewing, and interpreting contracts; and providing thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues.
• Assisting in creating template forms tailored to department’s needs; managing existing forms to ensure consistency with company policies and practices;

creating new workflows and streamlined processes

Developing and maintaining relationships with agencies, law firms, and other relevant industry contacts.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, law, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD) preferred.
• 6-9 years in business development, strategic partnerships, or related roles, preferably in a relevant industry or sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, financial analysis, and project management.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks impacting business operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving results and achieving business objectives.

The salary range for this role considers a range of variables used in making compensation decisions and may include but is not limited to;

experience, training, licenses, certifications, skills sets, business needs, travel. Compensation decisions are dependent on the unique variables that are present, a reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,000-$150,000.

This range has not been adjusted based on the geographic location of the successful incumbent.
