Senior Tax Manager Hybrid | Lead Role at Nashville-Area Branch Office

Location : Hybrid (Based out of a branch office just outside Nashville, TN)

Employment Type : Full-Time

About the Opportunity : A top regional public accounting firm headquartered in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to take on a leadership role at one of its branch office locations just outside of Nashville. This is a hybrid position, offering a mix of in-office presence and remote work flexibility. The firm is known for its above-market pay, performance-based bonuses, excellent benefits, and a culture that prioritizes people, leadership access, and professional development. For the right candidate, a partnership track is available.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage tax operations for a local branch office
  • Oversee complex tax engagements for a wide variety of clients
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and managers
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide high-level strategic tax planning
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all tax engagements
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to support branch growth, team development, and client service standards

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Active CPA license required
  • Minimum 5 years of recent public accounting experience
  • 2+ years of management experience leading tax professionals
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations for various entity types
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and deliver high-quality work
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with both in-office and remote responsibilities
