Pay Range : $80,000 to $95,000

You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and timely financial reporting.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in various accounting functions, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role :

Financial Reporting : Prepare and consolidate financial statements in compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Month-end and Year-end Closing : Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

General Ledger Maintenance : Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and ensure accuracy in financial data.

Prepare work papers that provide detailed support of all balance sheet account balances.

Audit Support : Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.

Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and contribute to enhancing accounting procedures.

Compliance and Regulatory Matters : Stay updated on accounting standards, ensure compliance, and make recommendations to align with changes in regulations.

Financial Analysis : Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, providing insights, trends, and forecasts to support decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic planning.

Team Leadership : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, ensuring their professional development.

Minimum Job Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. Public Accounting auditing experience is a plus.
• Strong technical accounting skills, knowledge of GAAP, and ability to analyze large volume sets of data.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Experience in leadership or mentoring roles is a plus.
• The Senior Accountant position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong financial background and exceptional analytical skills.
