Sports Operator
Job Description -
- Ensure proper configuration for sports and special events prior to air
- Ensure accurate entitlements and authorizations are applied in the systems for sports and special events
- Monitor systems throughout the duration of the sports and special events to react to schedule changes and real-time adjustments (weather delays, overtime, etc.
and configure systems to accommodate the changes.
Ensure correct exit from sports and special events and transition of entitlements and authorizations from event-specific to standard for the channel
Skills Required - Sports Operator
- Must have a good general understanding of all Sports (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, Soccer, Cricket, GOLF, Tennis, as well as other professional sports)
- Must be flexible to support day, evening, and overnight shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- Experience in Media distribution or other related industry in operations or continuous improvement
- Knowledge of video processing components, Broadcast and Streaming operations
- Experience with troubleshooting, systems analysis, and data analysis
- Knowledge of ITIL (Incident / Problem / Change management) practices
- Experience with event-based monitoring and navigation of tools (such as ServiceNow, Moogsoft, Ineoquest, etc.) to analyze and identify faults
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and make decisions and work under high stress situations
- Attention to detail and completing work with high degree of accuracy
