About The Position
Job Title : Cardiovascular Technologist I Job Specialty : Procedural Assistant in Cath Lab Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Days 7 : 00am-5 : 30pm, On-call required (12 shifts per 4 weeks, Friday through Sunday call 1 to 2 months) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years in Cath Lab preferred License : Not specified Certifications : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered CVI Specialist preferred Must-Have : - Basic knowledge of cardiovascular cath or electrophysiology procedures- Basic knowledge of electrocardiography, coronary heart disease, cardiac anatomy, and physiology- Ability to react quickly in emergency patient care situations- Effective communication and teamwork skills- Positive attitude and proficiency in English Job Description : Train to assist physicians during cardiovascular cath and EP procedures.
- Function in monitoring, scrubbing, or circulating roles.- Work in conjunction with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiologists.
- Prepare and educate patients for procedures.- Maintain sterile techniques and prepare necessary supplies and equipment.
- Transport patients and provide comfort and privacy.- Maintain departmental records and compliance with standards and regulations.
- Enter data accurately into the cath lab log and complete necessary paperwork.- Maintain stock levels and clinical certifications.
- Verify patient identification and consent documentation.- Participate in patient education, including pre and post-procedural care.
- Comply with all health system policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
