Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Director for Compliance reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and will work with various aspects of the compliance program.
This position will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Office and will help ensure that the University’s 15 varsity sports are in compliance with NCAA, A10 Conference, and institutional regulations.
Primary Responsibilities / Requirements :
- Assist in developing and maintaining comprehensive rules education program for administrators, coaches, student-athletes, boosters, fans, prospective students, parents, and advisors (regular emails to staff, social media management, etc.)
- Administration of student-athlete, coach, and staff compliance forms, and monitoring of student-athlete awards and extra benefits.
Reviewing the permissibility of Athletic Department donation requests
- Monitoring playing and practice seasons (including all countable and required student-athlete activities)
- Assist with student-athlete services : housing, dining, financial aid etc.
- Reviewing camps to ensure compliance with NCAA legislation
- Assisting with rules, conducting education meetings, and recruiting related audits / reviews
- In collaboration with the Ticket Office, the Compliance Coordinator will monitor complimentary admissions for prospective student-athletes, high school and club coaches, and guests of current student-athletes.
- Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and / or Work Experience Bachelors degree required.2 plus years previous experience working in an Athletic Department compliance office and experience working with compliance software program is preferred.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of NCAA bylaws and legislative, interpretive, and waiver process. Qualifications Bachelors degree required.
