Summary :
This entry level management position will be responsiblefor assisting the department manager in daily operations and staffleadership.
Responsible for conducting performance evaluations anddealing with staffing issues. Assist the charge nurse withevaluation of admissions, discharges and patient flow.
Supervisework activities of licensed and non-licensed associates. Thisposition will be working a percentage of time as a staff nurse.
Assists in communicating a shared vision, mission and values withinthe department. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursingcare according to established standards, policies and procedures.
Maintains an atmosphere that supports and encourages highperformance, teamwork and continual improvement ofassociates.

Requirements :
- Graduate of an accredited school ofNursing.
- Minimum 2-3 years Nursing experiencepreferred.
- Current Texas State RNLicense
- CPR (American HeartAssociation)
- ACLS required within 90 days ofhire / transfer date
- CPI / De-escalation training,required within 90 days of hire / transfer date for EmergencyServices Departments.
- NIHSS required within 90days of hire / transfer date- ED / ICU / Neuro / IR
