Job Details
- Effective 11 / 30 / 24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW).
- The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9 / 9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11 / 30).
- Periop / OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule.
- These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11 / 30 deadline.
- Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.
- MS Tele Oncology : 3x12 or 4x12 : OK
- MIXED ACUITY UNIT : ALL TRAVELERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK WITH MEDSURG PATIENTS
- Ratios : 1 : 5-6; PCU 1 : 3-4
- Years of experience REQ : 18 months
- Weekend REQ : Every other

- 3, 12 hr. shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek.
- Special Requirements : PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, accessing ports, starting IVs.
- PREFERRED EXP : neuro and oncology experience; Central Line Care / Management; monitoring chemotherapy
- Unit Information : Medical PCU Oncology and Stroke Unit; Mixed Acuity Unit - Medical patients with some PCU level of care patients.
