Job Description - Sr. Manager, Project Controls
Develop and supervise a Project Controls team for the CAPEX Project Engineering group.
- Finance
- Prepare management reports on the results of the monthly and quarterly CAPEX Project status.
- Initiate communication and coordinate with other departments to improve the quality of financial information.
- Maintain accurate and consistent reporting formats and data.
- Maintain written procedures relevant to major and minor financial activities.
- Reconcile monthly statements with vendors and internal costs centers.
- Support and perform internal financial audits for CAPEX projects.
- Cost Controls
- Develop baseline budgets from project cost estimates.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and apply to project budgets.
- Develop and provide cost reporting per project reporting schedules.
- Implement earned value systems to determine Estimate at Completion (EAC) and cost efficiency (CPI).
- Support development of Rules of Credit for earned value tracking.
- Develop contingency tracking reports and manage contingency drawdown logs.
- Schedule Controls
- Develop baseline integrated project schedules for EPCMV projects.
- Resource load project schedules to assist with project staffing and construction labor requirements.
- Work with a multi-disciplined team, including Engineering, Construction, Validation, Technology Transfer, and Operational Readiness, to build schedules and track progress.
- Maintain project change / decision logs.
- Provide linkage between project change and contingency management.
- Risk Management
- Support the risk management process by helping to identify and quantify cost, schedule, and scope risk.
- Support project risk assessments and Monte Carlo risk simulations.

Education, Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management along with 7+ years of meaningful experience.
- Finance and Project Controls experience on EPCM Projects required (EPCMV Pharma Projects preferred).
- Financial forecasting and cash flow analysis experience required.
- Experience building and maintaining resource loaded schedules.
- Experience with Earned Value Management.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
