Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care to parents during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assist with birthing procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of both parent and infant.
• Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other medical staff to develop and implement care plans. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, offering emotional support and education on postnatal care and breastfeeding.
• Maintain adherence to hospital policies, state regulations, and infection control practices. Continuously assess and respond to changes in patients' conditions, providing immediate interventions when necessary.

Qualifications

Education :

Diploma from an RN program.

License(s) / Certification(s) :

• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
• Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire and maintain.
• Must obtain Neonatal Resuscitation program (NRP)
