Apprentice Technician Responsibilities
- Perform repairs as directed
- Attend training, shop meetings, continue education provided by the manufacturers to improve competence level
- Understand and follow Federal, State, and Local regulations
- Road test vehicles to quality check work performed
- Keep shop area neat and clean and able to account for all dealership owned tools
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
- Document all work performed
- Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or maintenance work is required
- Diagnose the cause of malfunction
- Maintain CSI level established by manufacturer and dealership standards
Qualifications
- Recent graduate from automotive program or have been employed at an automotive shop for over 1 year
- Must be ASE certified
- Must be mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn
- Possess a valid Illinois driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Able to take and follow direction
- A desire to learn and deliver customer satisfaction every time
- Must be able to attend all service training and meetings
Hours
Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 a.m.
until 5 : 00 p.m.
Some Saturdays
