Registered Nurse - Adult Med Surg

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM, every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for adult medical-surgical patients in a 34-bed unit. The RN will be crucial in assessing patient acuity and collaborating with the nursing team and healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and perform assessments for med-surg level patients.
  • Administer IV fluids, tube feeds, and medications as ordered.
  • Monitor vital signs and telemetry rhythms, alerting healthcare professionals of any changes.
  • Assist with feeding, bathing, and other activities of daily living as necessary.
  • Participate in unit huddles and adhere to hospital policies.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Current BLS certification.
  • Telemetry rhythm capabilities.
  • Strong critical thinking and time management skills.
  • Ability to assess and respond to changes in patient acuity.
