Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with S Corps, partnerships, and business returns.
This role will involve preparing and reviewing tax returns, advising clients on tax strategies, and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Coordinate with the tax department supervisor to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Advise clients on tax strategies and planning
- Represent clients in audits, appeals, collections, liens, and levies
- Manage multi-state tax filings and compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Provide excellent client service and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications :
- Associates degree in Accounting (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Active EA license Preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting
- Proven experience with S Corps, partnerships, and business returns
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience :
- Experience in industries such as farming, entertainment, real estate, and small businesses
- Proven track record of client-facing roles and client relationship management
