Rotating (United States of America) Sentara Obici in Suffolk, VA is hiring an Traveler RN to full fill a Temporary position on their Family Maternity Center Team!
Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital LDRP experience.
Must have valid RN License. Required BLS and NRP certifications.
Rotating Shift to cover vacations but will take straight Night shift
$75 per hour for a 14 week contract and Potential $5000 Sign on Bonus.
Eligible for $5000 Sign on Bonus living more than 50 miles from the facility working.
Sentara Obici Hospital is a 175-bed community hospital. Founded in 1951 in the heart of Suffolk, Virginia. We relocated to a new state of the art facility in 2010.

The Family Maternity Center is located away from the everyday flow to provide a peaceful, comforting environment for our moms and babies.
- We have 24-hour coverage by board-certified pediatricians and anesthesiologists.
- Lactation Specialists are available six days a week.
- Infant security system to ensure safety for all of our newborns.
- Ample space for dad, family member, or support person to spend the night.
- Special affiliation with Children's Hospital for the King's Daughter (CHKD) if specialized care is required.
- Partnership with several community outreach programs that include postpartum support groups and breastfeeding support groups.
- Our unit is recognized as one of the top performing units for patient satisfaction.

Job Summary
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice / nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
BSN or MSN preferred. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Critical Care / IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire;
Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; Oncology Care ONS / ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire.
Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire. Inpatient Pediatrics. PALS within 6 months of hire. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
