Job Summary : The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.-Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.

• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.-Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.-Manages care of patients.-Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and / or clinical priorities.
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

RN will not be floated as an RN assignment but more as a PCT role, where they will be taking vitals and assisting the nursing staf f Required Skills & Experience : -1+ year of experience in related specialty.

Preferred Skills & Experience : -N / A Experience with the following preferred : IV insertions, IV pumps, blood draws, labor bed experience, warmers, PCA and Epidural pumps, SCD machines, Pulse OX and O2 Setup.

Patient Ratio : 1 : 2- Max ratio 1 : 3. 130-160 births per month. 40-60 C-Sections per month. 6 : 30 PM - 7 : 00 AM Every Other Weekend Required.

Holidays- As Needed. No on Call. Min 2 years of recent L&D experience Required. BLS-aha, ACLS-aha, and NRP Certifications all- Required.

C-EFM (Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring)- Required Must have experience Circulating with C-sections. Scrub experience- Preferred.
