As we embark on a new offshore brownfield asset retirement project based out of Covington, LA , we are seeking a talented and experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team.
The Lead Civil / Structural Engineer will play a lead role in managing civil / structural engineering efforts for an offshore brownfield asset retirement project.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, and electrical engineers, along with environmental and regulatory specialists, developing and implementing civil / structural engineering solutions to safely decommission offshore facilities while minimizing environmental impact and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
In addition to the production of engineering deliverables (construction work packs, engineering studies, regulatory & environmental reviews, asset management plans), a key success factor for the selected candidate will be the ability to efficiently manage the flow of work to remote (workshare) offices.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering roles, with a focus on offshore oil and gas projects.
- Proven expertise in civil and structural design, analysis, and optimization of offshore facilities, including platforms, pipelines, and subsea structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software tools, such as , SAP2000, and RISA, for structural modeling and analysis.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and practical engineering solutions.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards governing offshore decommissioning activities, including API, AISC, and ASCE requirements.
- Willingness to travel to offshore facilities and project sites as needed to support engineering activities and project execution.
