Missile or Avionics design experience. 9+ years of professional experience; 7+ years with a Masters degree. Active DoD Secret clearance. Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience / combined education. Experience in electronics design with a focus on circuit card design and development; high-speed digital design including DDR4 and FPGA. Formal schematic entry for mixed-signal designs; PCB layout and oversight of dense, mixed-signal designs with large PCB stackups. Digital circuit simulation (e.g., HyperLynx, Ansys HFFS); BOM management and part selection; formal checkout of first article hardware; test plan / procedure development; planning / scoping task development; embedded hardware design. Worst Case Analysis simulation and documentation generation; mentoring / leadership of junior / mid-level engineers; environmental testing for shock, thermal, vibe, and TVAC. Responsibilities
- Design / Capture electrical schematics and guide the board layouts.
- Perform electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis.
- Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of avionics systems.
- Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and support product certification, system-level testing, and related activities.
