RESPONSIBILITIES :
Pre-Op RNs assess, instruct & prepare patients prior to surgery. Pre-Op RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct
Take and record vital signs and initiate IVs
Pre-Op RNs educate the patient about the procedure and post-op care
