What you’ll do as a Project Manager

Plans organizes and supervises pre-construction and construction activities for assigned construction projects.

Schedules major construction tasks manages services of subcontractors (including the approval for payment).

Coordinates the activities of internal lower level superintendents, crafts, and subcontractors.

Ensures the continuity of job progress and maximizes efficiencies for assigned areas and serves as primary point of contact with the client peers, subcontractors, permitting jurisdictions and utility providers.

Responsible for job safety, quality, schedule and regulatory compliance required daily on construction site(s) or project office.

Able to travel extended days when required where site locations dictate.

Ability to build and maintain strong professional working relationships with major commercial and industrial developers.

Able to attend pre-bid meetings / job walks and investigate project sites.

Review and understand all construction documents, plans, specifications, addendums bid documents and geotechnical reports.

Performs complete and accurate material take-offs, requests quotes from potential subcontractors and vendors.

Provides a complete estimate for labor, materials and subcontractor cost.

Prepare budgets and job set up for field superintendents and accounting, as well as track project and cost to budget.

Develop, prepare and maintain accurate work schedule.

Manage all changes in SOW that require a change order or extra work authorization.

Verify all quantities, complete to date or percentages of completion to assist accounting with the preparation and submittal of accurate monthly progress and final billings.

Manage inventory control, material management, and loss control process.

What you’ll need

To be 18 years of age or older

Authorization to work in the United States for this company

Demonstrated knowledge of communication site development process, permitting processes, utility coordination, bill of material development, civil construction, quality assurance practices and OSHA safety compliance practices.

Current valid driver’s license is required.

Experience in the development and construction of other telecom / data infrastructures domestically or abroad is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both written and oral forms (bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus).

Able to work closely with customers, clients, vendors and co-workers.

Ability to manage and effectively lead team and establish trusting relationships at all levels.

Ability to read, analyze and write business correspondence / proposals.

Possess the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks at once.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer programs.

Extensive knowledge of approved practices, procedures, tools, and materials used in telecom line construction work.

Additional qualifications (if applicable)

Ability to apply logical principles and thinking to solve problems and make effective decisions.

Willing to perform work that supports the values, quality, goals and objectives of the company.

Salary Range $85,000 - $125,000 / year
