Base Pay Range : $132,600.00 - $225,400.00 Annually

Group / Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively.

Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Job Description / Preferred Qualifications

  • Drive controller tuning and qualification for a precision, multi-axis stage on a highly-complex reticle inspection tool
  • Model and measure system dynamics to understand impact on stage performance. Define options to improve performance
  • Drive the design and qualification of tools / test hardware for debugging, analysis, and evaluation of stage performance
  • Apply knowledge in sensors, actuators, control algorithms, signal processing, and data analysis methods to assess and improve stage performance
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including software, electrical, mechanical, systems, and optical engineers to define plans for system-level testing and debugging
  • Generate documentation for design reviews and product release, including design specifications and procedures for testing and troubleshooting

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 3 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree 6 years related work experience
