The SAP Project Manager will ensure the project team and project leadership has a common understanding of objectives, roles and responsibilities, activities, deliverables and project execution processes.

Additionally, the SAP Project Manager will manage and direct the project team to deliver the committed scope within the schedule and budget constraints contained within the project funding request and project charter.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate with the project teams on data migration and system consolidation including overseeing multiple workstreams
  • Coordinate and facilitate technical discussions to plan and execute project work
  • Work closely with the test coordinator to ensure adequate testing, both technical and functional, are planned and executed during the project
  • Organize, document and oversee project cutover plans to minimize disruption and avoid defects
  • Facilitate project planning sessions with key SMEs and leads to draft the project plan and schedule (including considerations for Quarter End Close, SOX freeze and other in-flight projects and business and IT activities)
  • Gain alignment from project team members and project leadership on activities, deliverables, time frames, due dates and resources
  • Monitor project progress and update project plan and schedule accordingly
  • Ensure that team members know their assigned activities and deliverables and remove any roadblocks to the team members completing those activities
  • Ensure weekly team meetings are held and that the team knows what is due for the next 2 weeks, what is being completed and what is behind
  • Publish weekly "to-do lists" (for upcoming two weeks) to each team member to help ensure everyone understands their assigned tasks and timelines within which execution is expected
  • Gather updated task status information each week and update the plan
  • Work with team members that are behind on tasks to remove roadblocks and keep project on track
  • Escalate issues as necessary for resolution to keep project on track
  • Develop a milestone plan and publish progress against the milestone plan on regularly as communication tool and to help keep the project team on track
  • Deploy, train, and execute the project-specific issues, schedule, scope, and risk management process from the existing execution
  • Develop a weekly project status report to be provided to the project team and stakeholders using a project specific template agreed with by the PMO
  • Provide monthly reporting to portfolio leadership and other stakeholders as needed
  • Maintain and administer the Project SharePoint site
  • Facilitate any organizational change management related to the project
  • Manage the execution of the hyper care and transition to support activities
  • Responsible for project related communications to project team and Governance Committee

What You'll Bring

  • Must be self-driven and prepared to drive the progress and delivery of the project without extensive guidance
  • Proven ability to align, manage, and direct a large complex project / program to deliver business value, on time, and on budget
  • Proven experience working with SAP consolidations teams and system migrations
  • Proven experience managing SAP projects in the domains of HR, Payroll, Finance, Supply Chain and EAM
  • Familiarity with SAP technical components such as ABAP programs, Integration patterns using PO, transports and transport paths, basic network fundamentals, Basis work, and other components of an SAP landscape
  • Proven ability to align, manage and direct multiple 3rd party vendors on a single project to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to align and work closely with other project managers to deliver a large SAP project / program

  • Principles of Agile such as breaking work down into components and iteration planning (SAP Activate) as well as principles of Waterfall
  • Meticulous attention to detail with respect to documentation for meeting agendas, meeting minutes, action, decisions, issue management, risk management, schedule management, scope management
  • Ability to hold team members accountable to commitments
  • Ability to communicate project management and technical issues, risks and project health into presentations that are simple and easy to understand at the executive level
  • 15+ years of SAP experience with experience with large SAP S / 4 Hana projects
  • Has held project manager role for an end-to-end global project implementation
  • Broad understanding of SAP technologies
  • Experience with SAP cloud services
  • Outstanding written presentation skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills including technical and business focused communications
  • Candidates must be fluent in the English language
  • US passport or US Permanent Resident Card (USCIS Form I-551) holder
  • PMI-PMP certification preferred

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $70 to $80 / HR depending on experience.

Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.

The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
